Color Your World: Forest Green

Forest green refers to a green color said to resemble the color of the trees and other plants in a forest. The first recorded use of forest green as the name of a color in the English language was in 1810. Forest green is a representation of the average color of the leaves of the trees of a temperate zone deciduous forest. Forest Green was introduced to Crayola in 1957. In a RGB color space, hex #228b22 (also known as Forest green) is composed of 13.3% red, 54.5% green and 13.3% blue. Whereas in a CMYK color space, it is composed of 75.5% cyan, 0% magenta, 75.5% yellow and 45.5% black. It has a hue angle of 120 degrees, a saturation of 60.7% and a lightness of 33.9%. #228b22 color hex could be obtained by blending #44ff44 with #001700. Closest websafe color is: #339933. The hexadecimal color #228b22 has RGB values of R:34, G:139, B:34 and CMYK values of C:0.76, M:0, Y:0.76, K:0.45. Its decimal value is 2263842.
