This is my seventh entry for Nancy’s Photo a Week Challenge. This week’s topic is on Summer Vacation 2020. Here’s a link to Nancy’s blog https://nadiamerrillphotography.wordpress.com/2020/04/30/a-photo-a-week-challenge-summer-vacation-2020/
IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PHOTO OR TWO OR… THAT SHOW YOUR DREAM SUMMER VACATION.
Everyone is welcome to participate, even if your blog isn’t about photography.
Here’s how it works:
- Each week, I’ll come up with a theme and post a photo that I think fits. You take photographs based on your interpretation of the theme, and post them on your blog (a new post!) anytime before the following Thursday, when the next photo theme will be announced.
- To make it easy for others to check out your photos, title your blog post “A Photo a Week Challenge: (theme of the week)” and be sure to use the “postaday″ tag.
- Follow nancy merrill photography so that you don’t miss out on weekly challenge announcements.
Here are my pictures of summer vacation 2020

I’m a fan of Outlander, Merlin, and Downton Abbey and also a life long fan of the British Royal Family. I’m also a fan of royals in general so that is why one of the pictures is of the Versailles. I also would love to tour all three of these beautiful countries. The first nine pictures are from Scotland, England, and France. The last five pictures are from India and one is a palace. The first Indian picture needs no introduction because the whole world knows of it. The last three pictures are from two different religious places. The first two are from the beautiful Himalaya mountains, the Lord Shiva’s home Kailas. Lake Manasarovar in Sanskrit and several other Indian languages), is a high altitude freshwater lake fed by the Kailash Glaciers near Mount Kailash in the Tibet Autonomous Region, China. The lake is revered as a sacred place in four religions: Bön, Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism. The last picture is from Sai Baba’s Shirdi. Shirdi is a town in the state of Maharashtra, in western India. It’s known as the former home of revered spiritual leader Sai Baba, and as a major pilgrimage site. Devotees gather daily at the Sai Baba Temple complex to honor his legacy. Here, the Samadhi Mandir shrine has an ornate marble statue of Sai Baba, alongside his tomb. Close by are Dwarkamai, a mosque where Sai Baba once lived, and the tree-lined Lendi Garden.
