Here’s some holidays quotes & pictures

P.S. I know y’all wondered why I didn’t get to celebrate my favorite holiday: Christmas in 2016 and 2018. That is because I was in India both years for Christmas. As everyone that has followed me for the past few months knows I got married on my birthday three years ago on December 24th, 2016. My Christmas in 2016 was nonexistent because well since we got married we had the reception on Christmas Day and one of the reasons that we didn’t celebrate Christmas that year was because his family doesn’t celebrate Christmas. It was really rough. I was in a new house with people that I didn’t really know well. I actually didn’t get to see my parents until I went to the reception hall. I still remember some of his aunt’s telling his mom that she was so lucky to get such a nice daughter-in-law. They truly didn’t know what they lost. But seriously I’m so much better off without people that don’t even have their younger daughter-in-law give their older daughter-in-law a gift the first time that I visited her new house. His cousin’s wives understood that I deserved respect when I visited them. Last year we were visiting India since it was his dad’s birthday and we didn’t really celebrate Christmas but I did get to have a wonderful lunch at one of cousin’s houses. Last year was tough holiday wise because it was the first time I didn’t get to be home for my mom’s birthday since I was actually at Heathrow on her birthday flying to Hyderabad. It was also the first ever time that I didn’t get to celebrate my birthday with my parents and sister in my whole life. My favorite time during the last holidays that I spent in India were when my mother-in-law and I went next door to visit the neighbors who were blessed with a new baby girl. The Aunty next door really made my day and my vacation when she told my mother-in-law something that she has always believed in and follows. She told my mother-in-law that Aunty treats all her daughters-in-law like they are the Intinki Maha Lakshmi or in other words the goddess of the house or home. Well the mother-in-law was speechless and can I just say if I ever do get married again I would love to find a mother-in-law that would truly love me and not treat me like I wasn’t a part of her family. And I would clearly love to find a man who definitely isn’t a mommas boy. I mean seriously if you are in your thirties you don’t need to act like your mom is the best thing in your life. And you definitely shouldn’t tell your wife that you only think of your mom, dad and younger brother as family. I mean how heartless can you get. And especially what kind of coward emails his wife that he wants a divorce.
